DL is a specialized subset of ML that utilizes neural networks with many layers (hence "deep") to model complex patterns in large amounts of data. It is particularly effective for tasks such as image and speech recognition, natural language processing, and autonomous driving. DL models, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNNs), have demonstrated significant improvements in accuracy for various applications.
